The Village, founded in 2014, was developed by Globalizedu, a global leader in high-impact travel/learning programs abroad. Led by Founding CEO Dr. Douglas Mackaman, the Globalizedu team builds best-in-class travel/educational experiences to serve college learners. Doug has recently served as Distinguished Professor of History and European Affairs at the University of West Florida and as University Professors of French History at The University of Southern Mississippi. With 25 years experience leading high-impact travel and learning initiatives abroad, Doug is a recognized expert at building dynamic teams of world-class faculty and staff for Globalizedu's university, professional and life-long learning products.
